I’m Mary Scott and I started Dog Think to provide professional dog training in East Texas. I use proven, science-based positive reinforcement methods that prioritize behavior and relationships. I specialize in puppy training, behavior modification and obedience training that is tailored to each dog and owner. Whethter you are working through problem behavior, building strong foundational skills, or training complex obedience or trick skills, my customized programs create lasting results you can feel confident maintaining.

I’m Mary Scott, and I’m passionate about helping dogs and their owners build strong, trusting relationships through kind, effective training. My approach combines decades of experience in healthcare, behavioral health, and animal training with modern, science-based positive reinforcement methods. I believe training should be fun and not intimidating for you or your dog.
From behavior modification to complex training needs, I work closely with each family to design a customized training plan that fits your dog’s personality, your lifestyle, and your goals.

I've had the joy of working with dogs and their owners through group classes, private lessons, and shelter volunteering. I've earned advanced AKC obedience, rally and trick dog titles as well as evaluating and working with therapy dogs that visited hospitals. I also bring extensive experience training and competing equines across multiple disciplines. Previously, I was a certified riding instructor and taught people of all ages and abilities. These experiences have shaped my well-rounded approach to working with both animals and their owners.
